There are three ways to let the UTS Main Office know if your child is late or will be absent:

Bursary Applications for the 2025-26 school year
Interested F1 to S5 families must complete the bursary application at applefinancialservices.ca by October 31, 2024.

Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge (COMC) Time Change
If your child is registered to write the COMC on Wednesday, October 30, the start time has changed from 1 p.m. to after school at 4 p.m.
The contest is estimated to take between two and two and a half hours.
F1 School Vaccine Clinic Rescheduled
The F1 Vaccine Clinic has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 29. No action is needed from you at this time. On the day, if your child would like to receive their vaccinations apart from the larger student group, please email School Nurse Adi Sood.
Foundation Diploma and Volunteer Hours
The Foundation Diploma will continue to recognize our current F2 students’ commitment to the UTS program, including their community volunteer hours. A committee has been formed to review the F2 Diploma and explore how it may evolve next year to align with our new Middle School model and incorporate key elements of our strategic plan. We will keep you updated as plans develop.
Middle School End-of-Year Celebrations
To continue our work in commemorating the transition from Middle School to Senior School, we are working with students in F1, F2 and M3 on exciting grade-specific events for students to connect and celebrate together.
F1 Celebration
A year-end Community Birthday Party in June for all F1 students to celebrate the end of their first year at UTS with activities, games and perhaps a karaoke machine.
F2 Dance
A special dance for F2 students, to don their finest and enjoy music and time together in spring 2025. A dance committee will allow the F2s to put their own special touches on the event.
M3 Middle School Celebration
Marking the end of Middle School to formally welcome M3s into the Senior School with a celebratory lunch in spring 2025.
We are so thankful for students’ ideas and ongoing planning contributions to these new traditions.
