Consent forms being sent tomorrow
Fall Outdoor Education programs for the next school year will take place in the first full week of September for the 2025-26 M3, S5 and S6 students. These programs are an integral part of the UTS Diploma program, and often referenced by alumni as one of the highlights of their time at UTS. Consent forms will be distributed tomorrow to families with students who will be in those grades for next year.

House Island Day: New Arrival Time for Foundation Students
June 4 at 8:45 a.m. at UTS
In order to facilitate travelling to the ferry dock, Foundation students should now be at UTS by 8:45 a.m. on June 4, rather than 9 a.m. as initially scheduled in the consent form. This will allow them as much time as possible on the Island.
Course Change Requests
Deadline: Friday, June 6 at 4 p.m.
On Monday, May 26, students received an email from Dr. Dawe with a link to the course change request form. This form is for students who wish to request changes to the initial requests they made in January. The deadline to submit change requests is Friday, June 6 at 4 p.m. While the school makes every effort to accommodate change requests, the timetable has been staffed based on the January course requests. Therefore, it may not be possible to accommodate every request. In some cases, course sections may be full, or there may be new timetable conflicts that cannot be resolved.
While there will be a second opportunity to request changes in late summer (August 18 to 25), that window is meant to respond to extenuating circumstances (e.g., change in academic goals as the result of a summer program). No new change requests will be accepted or processed between June 6 and August 18.
Last day of UTSPA Wellness school snacks!
June 6
On behalf of UTSPA’s Wellness committee, snacks will be provided in the Fleck Atrium for students at their arrival on the last day of school. Please remind them to stop by and grab a snack and sticker!
UTS Music Instrument Return Date
June 6
It has been an incredible year of music-making filled with countless hours of group rehearsal and individual practice. We ask that all UTS-owned or rented instruments be brought back to school no later than 4 p.m. on June 6, for inventory maintenance.
The one exception is students who play the double bass, AND have selected music as a course for next year. Teachers will separately follow up with those students. Double bass players who are not taking a UTS music course in September must return their instrument by June 6.
Students who would like to sign out an instrument for summer practice may do so after the final assembly on June 18, or at another pre-arranged time with their teacher.
F1 Community Reflection Week
June 9 to 13
Each day will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and students will take part in a variety of activities focused on building community, giving back and reflecting on their role in shaping a positive and inclusive school environment.
Your children will receive more details about each day’s activities closer to the time. You will also receive an alert to complete a permission form via MyUTS for some of the fun and educational excursions planned that week. A reminder will be included in next week’s UTS Updates.
Please note: There is no school on Monday, June 16 for F1 students.
Thank you for your continued support!
F2 Dance
June 17
1:15 to 3:45 p.m.
McIntyre Gymnasium
We’re excited to share that our F2 students will be celebrating the end of Middle School with a dance!
Please note that this is a PA Day, so there are no regular classes. Students should arrive at 1:15 p.m. and will be dismissed at 3:45 p.m.
This is a student-only event, and the afternoon will include music, light refreshments and fun activities to mark this important milestone together. Students are encouraged to dress up, but there is no formal dress code.
Thanks for your continued support ‒ we’re looking forward to a joyful celebration with our F2s!

Reminder: SchoolCash Online Ending May 30
We are making the move to a new billing system for the next school year to streamline, improve and simplify your payments for things like tickets and excursions.
This means that there will be no transactions handled through SchoolCash Online as of May 30.
Please ensure that all outstanding charges you may have in your SchoolCash Online accounts are paid by May 30.
Full instructions for the new billing portal for the upcoming school year will be shared well in advance to ensure a smooth transition.
