Social Work at UTS

AP Exam Update
Registration opens at the beginning of October
Deadline October 29
Please note that AP exam registration opens at the beginning of October (exact date to be confirmed), and the deadline to register will be October 29. All M4, S5 and S6 students will receive an email with further details of how to register. Families will receive an invoice for AP Registration during the third week of November. The fee for each AP course is $225, and the AP Capstone Program is $275.
OISE University of Toronto Teacher Candidates at UTS
Today, UTS welcomed its newest cohort of teacher candidates from U of T’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) Master of Teaching program. The candidates come to the school for classroom visits on Thursdays during the first year of their program (until February). They are with us to learn from our expert classroom teachers, and to provide extra support in the classroom. Some of them will go on to complete an extended practicum placement with us in the winter term during March/April. More details about that will be shared in future updates.
Translation Service for Upcoming Parent-Teacher Interviews
UTS offers dates for Parent-Teacher interviews on November 6, 14 and 17. The online system, Pick-A-Time, will open for parents and guardians to book appointments on Thursday, October 16. If you will require translation services, it needs to be arranged ahead of time. Please fill out the Translation Service Request Form now.

Follow all UTS Blues Athletics events on the Foundation Athletics Google Calendar and the High School Athletics Google Calendar.

The UTS Parents’ Association invites you to join our Parent Volunteer Group. We need your help to support our school and students in various exciting events that are scheduled to take place throughout the year.

What’s been happening at UTS recently….
Teachers unveiled exciting learning plans for the school year at Curriculum Night on Tuesday this week, giving families an overview of the year ahead.
Many parents enjoyed some friendly conversation at UTS Coffee Mornings last week, getting to know each other better.
UTS Athletics Programs are getting underway with Foundation Ultimate practice at Robert Street Field and Varsity Girls and Boys Volleyball, Varsity Girls Field Hockey and other sports.
And as mentioned last week, students had a fantastic time at outdoor education, learning new skills and getting to know each other! Here are a few photos from our time at camps.
