Summer Experiential Program

UTSPA is once again pleased to be launching the popular Summer Experiential Program

We are seeking volunteers to host students for short workplace experiences, help students experience a ‘day in the life’ of your work environment and share your knowledge, thoughts and insights in your field or industry.

More information will be released in the following weeks. Contact the SEP Co-leads with any questions: christine.wong@utschools.ca, randy.pang@utschools.ca

Scam Alert in our Neighbourhood

We want to inform you about a recent scam that may be occurring around UTS. Individuals posing as taxi passengers are approaching people, claiming they need help paying a fare because the taxi only accepts cards and they have only cash.

They may ask the individual approached to pay with their debit or credit card in exchange for cash. During the transaction, they may swap the card with a counterfeit or steal the digital information on the card and subsequently withdraw funds from the account.

Please remind your children:

  • Never hand over a bank or credit card to anyone you don't know.

  • Do not respond to unsolicited requests for financial assistance.

  • Report any suspicious activity immediately.

Thank you for your assistance reminding students how to be vigilant and safe.
