Mandatory Tech Course Summer Option for Current M3s
Starting with the cohort of students who entered Grade 9 in the 2024-25 school year, all students will be required to earn a Grade 9 or Grade 10 technological education credit as part of their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
At UTS, this requirement will be fulfilled through TAS 20 – Technology and the Skilled Trades, which will be offered to all current M3 students when they reach S5.
Additionally, starting this summer, UTS will offer an optional, paid four-week in-person tech course for M3 families: TEJ 20 – Computer Technology and the Skilled Trades. Students may choose to complete either TAS 20 or TEJ 20 to satisfy the graduation requirement.
Please note that students may take a technological education credit course at UTS or at another institution.
M3 families will receive a separate email about registering for TEJ 20 next week. More info is available on the 2025-26 Course Calendar.
