A Joyful Holiday Season
There’s a sense of joy and merriment growing in the halls as we near the close of the school year.
House Winter Wonderland Spirit week is in full flow with activities like gingerbread house making and the holiday breakfast – today is pajama day and many students are enjoying the fun opportunity to wear their pajamas to school!
This time of year invites us to reflect on how far we’ve come together. We’ve challenged one another to explore new ideas, think in different ways, and expand our creativity. The results of this growth are vividly on display in the halls of UTS, where the Winter Art Ex is showcasing the dynamic and colorful works of our talented Visual Arts students.
On Tuesday, we heard dedication and hard work coalesce together into the magical UTS Winter Concert. From sleigh bells to timpani, from alto to soprano, from cool to classical, every moment of Tuesday’s holiday celebration was enchanting. Having some of our alumni return to play with our students was a special bonus and a testament to their love for music at UTS!
The joy is continuing to build throughout the week, as members of the Class of 2024 returned to UTS for the first time since graduation, for the Graduate Awards on Wednesday and their first Homecoming today, which will give them a chance to catch up with some of their younger UTS peers. It is such a joy to see the Class of 2024 again, making their way in the postsecondary world while keeping a special place in their hearts for UTS.
As we prepare to break tomorrow for the holidays, I applaud you and your families for all that our students have learned and accomplished, and for their dedication and enthusiasm.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful, inspiring and restful winter break and a joyful holiday season, as we look forward to the new year, where we will continue to learn and accomplish great things together.
