UTS Halloween Costume Guidelines

Halloween is a time for fun, and we want all students to enjoy this occasion! To ensure a positive experience for everyone, please adhere to the following guidelines when selecting a costume for school.

Students are prohibited from dressing in costumes that:

  1. Use attire associated with any ethnic, racial or cultural identity.

  2. Include political messages and symbols.

  3. Promote or depict stereotypes of any group's political, ethnic, racial, gender, sexual or cultural identity.

  4. Mock the identity of any ethnic, political, racial, gender, sexual or cultural group.

  5. Involve altering one's skin colour to represent another racial, political, ethnic or cultural group.

  6. Feature religious or spiritual symbols.

  7. Include replica weapons of any kind.

  8. Wear full face masks or coverings that obscure the entire face as part of a costume.

Not every situation can be anticipated. We ask that students centre kindness, empathy and common sense in their decision-making for costume choices. If you have doubts, it is better to err on the side of caution and not wear it.

Thank you for your cooperation.

2026-27 Bursary Applications Due October 31

Bursary applications for the 2026-27 school year are open on Apple Financial Services.  All returning families who wish to be considered for bursary support next year must submit an application, including those who are already receiving financial aid.

Families who are not currently receiving assistance but would like to apply are also welcome to do so. UTS is committed to supporting our existing students and families, recognizing that financial circumstances may change over time.

We encourage all returning families who wish to apply for bursary consideration to complete their application as soon as possible. Applications are due by October 31 to allow bursary decisions to be made ahead of January re-enrollment.
