Navigating the Changing Landscape of Adolescence:
Implications for UTS and Families

May 15
6 to 7:15 p.m.
In-person and online

Join UTS Principal Dr. Leanne Foster for a compassionate and timely conversation about a growing challenge facing today’s youth. Across North America and across all types of school systems, students are showing similar patterns: more frequent absenteeism, increased feelings of isolation, reduced social engagement and a declining connection to school spirit and community life.

What’s driving these shifts? Is it the lingering impact of the pandemic? The pervasive influence of social media? Or are there other factors at play? Together, we’ll explore what’s happening, why it matters and how we can respond.

This event offers a space for families to come together, share concerns and reaffirm our shared commitment to supporting our children in leading vibrant, connected and meaningful school lives.

A Q&A session will follow the conversation and allow for discussion of school-wide topics.

UTS Together Giving Days

You will likely have received the spring appeal in your mailbox this week. Make your gift today to have an immediate impact on your children’s experience ‒ providing enhanced programming, capital improvements and support of the bursary program, as well as the school’s commitment to meritocracy, academic excellence and accessibility.

All gifts made between now and May 9 will count towards this year’s UTS Together Giving Days!

Volunteers Needed for UTS Mock Trial Tournament

May 24

The UTS in-house Mock Trial Tournament will take place on Saturday, May 24.

We would love to hear from any parent lawyers or judges willing to contribute a couple of hours on the afternoon of the 24th to preside over a trial.

The event is a highlight of the season for our young lawyers, and the participation of our generous alumni and parents as judges makes it all possible.

Please email Rebecca Levere rlevere@utschools.ca if you can help.
