U.S. Travel Update
After thoughtful consideration and consultation with several other CAIS-accredited schools, UTS has decided to pause grade trips to the U.S. for the 2025-2026 school year. This decision reflects our commitment to the well-being of students and staff, in light of increased concerns about the possibility of negative experiences while travelling.
That said, we recognize the value of U.S.-based competitions and will continue to support student participation in these opportunities on a case-by-case basis. Whenever travel to the U.S. is approved, we will implement enhanced safety protocols and provide comprehensive preparation to support all participants.
Planning is well underway for meaningful grade trips within Canada and to the UK for our M4 and S6 students. We look forward to sharing more details with families in the near future.

What’s been happening at UTS recently….
Incoming F1s and M3s have been enjoying orientation activities, getting to know the school, and math and music bootcamps to start the new school year strong. Welcome to all our new families!
Summer Camps have explored exciting topics like debate, global health, watercolour and more.
100 Strong Foundation returned to UTS again this summer with 100 Strong Academy, a summer program designed to mobilize and equip young Black boys with the tools necessary to achieve their maximum potential in education and build on life skills.
The next update will be on July 31, 2025, which will include information on ordering textbooks and more details ahead of the school year.
