PowerSchool Update

PowerSchool, the student information system used by many schools, including UTS, experienced a cybersecurity incident between December 22 to 28, 2024, which was reported in the news today.

PowerSchool has confirmed that UTS data was not compromised. We will closely monitor this situation with PowerSchool and keep families informed if there are any changes to the information we have been provided.

Upcoming Outdoor Education Programs for F1, F2 and S6 Students and S5 Counsellors

F1 students (and S5 counsellors)
February 26 to 28 at Camp Wanakita

F2 students (and S5 counsellors)
February 24 to 26 at Camp Wanakita

S6 students
February 26 to 28 at Camp Kintail

Next week: Parents and guardians will be emailed consent forms.

The following week: Students will receive cabin mate and accommodation (e.g. cabin, medical, dietary, etc.) request forms. At UTS, most cabins/rooms will be assigned based on single-gender configurations. In alignment with the Ontario Human Rights Code, UTS will also provide a gender-inclusive cabin/room option for students with accommodation needs that relate to gender. We will work with students individually to provide support.

If your student cannot attend the upcoming Outdoor Education Programs (for example, due to an unchangeable medical appointment), please email studentlife@utschools.ca. There will be no F1, F2 or S6 classes running the dates of the program.
